The Palo Alto High School Choirs are fundraising to produce an album.
The choirs are using Kickstarter to raise money in order for their album titled titled “A Day in the Life.”
” The campaign is titled “A Day in The Life: Paly High Choirs Third Studio Album” has 31 backers and has raised $2957 so far; it will end on April 24.
Senior Jamie Garcia, co-president of the Paly Choir groups said the album will feature the concert choir, the madrigal singers and some of the a cappella groups.
“We hope to raise money” Garcia said. “The music sounds amazing and we worked extremely hard for this and I am so excited for it to be released. Although the production is a bit pricey, once the album is released we hope it will be a source of fundraising as well.”
About four years ago the two choirs groups also released an album and this year felt it was time for another one.
“We also thought it would be a fantastic experience for all the choir members to get to record in a professional recording studio and see how everything works,” Garcia said.
Garcia said the album will be released for purchase on iTunes later this year.
