Gott’s Roadside: Palo Alto’s American Classic

On Sept. 30, Gott's Roadside, a new burger joined from the renowned chain based in St. Helena, opened in Town and Country Village. The branch started out as a burger stand in St. Helena, California, and is now making its mark on Palo Alto. The Palo Alto branch is the restaurant’s fourth opening and signifies its branching out across the Bay Area. Unadorned and clean decoration marks Gott’s dedication to the simple pleasure of a good burger. There are no gimmicks, what you see is what you get, and despite its less than humble origins in the Napa Valley, Gott’s provides a decent take on the classic American burger. It is one of those rare finds that, while bland in some spots, has the potential to be a truly great burger joint with time and patience.
